TEDxRVA is excited to launch TEDxRVASalon! Hosting just 3 events a year was not enough (the main event in the spring/summer and TEDxRVAWomen & TEDxYouth@RVA in the fall). Now we have the opportunity to bring the TEDxRVA community together regularly throughout the year. Starting in 2017, TEDxRVA is hosting a monthly salon series (in the months that we don’t have another event for you) for the Richmond community to view TED talks, both old and new/from near and far, mixed in with informal group discussion.
What are TEDx salons?
TEDx salons invite community members into art galleries, libraries, restaurants, retail shops, and a variety of other unique meeting locations to watch previously recorded TED Talks from around the world and/or hear from speakers presenting new talks. Each salon focuses on a single subject of interest to the local community and includes a group discussion, allowing attendees to actively participate. With much smaller audiences gathering in more intimate spaces, salons create environments where attendees can get to know one another and exchange ideas.
How can you get involved?
All TEDxRVA salon events are planned and produced by the TEDxRVA Community Team. Interested being a part of that process? Send an email to email@example.com with your name, contact information, and a few sentences to tell us about the skill set(s) you bring and/or would like to gain as a part of the team.
